Elizabeth A. GearyElizabeth A. Geary, LMSW, Director of Day Haven

Betsy holds Master’s Degrees from Boston College and Hunter College School of Social Work and has been the director of Day Haven since 1999.  She brings to the program a passion for and expertise in providing high quality care to frail older adults and those with Alzheimer’s and supportive services to the families caring for them.  Betsy has over fifteen years of experience working in social model adult day services programs and developing community based programs to support elders and families.  She is continually seeking opportunities to enhance Day Haven’s services while making its high quality care accessible to those who need it.

Lori K. MaldavirLori K. Maldavir, M.M., Manager of Program Development and Government Relations

Lori holds a Master’s Degree in Management with a focus in Aging Policy from The Heller School at Brandeis University and has been working in the field of aging services for over 17 years. She has been working with Day Haven since 2002 and has a passion and commitment to supporting family caregivers. Responsible for Day Haven’s Caregiver Support Services, Lori facilitates two of Day Haven’s monthly support groups, coordinates caregiver educational events and is responsible for introducing Long Island’s first Memory Cafes to Suffolk County.

Liz FiordalisiLiz Fiordalisi, MS, Day Haven Port Jefferson Site Supervisor

Liz has enjoyed working with seniors since she was a teenager volunteering in an Activities Program in a Skilled Nursing Facility. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Villanova University and her love for the senior population lead Liz to pursue her Master’s Degree in Gerontological Services Administration from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. Her broad experience includes Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Senior Center and Social Adult Day Care settings. Recognizing the value of social model day programming, Liz strives to bring enrichment and fun into the lives of our participants.

Elizabeth LeDonne, MS, Day Haven Ronkonkoma Site Supervisor

Elizabeth has worked in the health care field for over fourteen years in various capacities across the Aging Services continuum, including home care and assisted living. Elizabeth holds a Master’s Degree in Health Care Management and Policy from Stony Brook University. She understands the needs of older adults, their families and the challenges that come with aging in place. Elizabeth knows how crucial a social model day program can be in helping families keep their loved ones at home and is dedicated to improving the quality of life of Day Haven participants.

Eileen GrennanEileen Grennan

Eileen has worked for our agency for nearly twenty years. Throughout that time, Eileen became knowledgeable about all elements of our various programs but the Day Haven program was where Eileen found the greatest professional satisfaction. As a former family caregiver, Eileen knows first-hand the challenges of caring for someone with a dementia illness. Eileen’s ready response: “what can I do to help” brought her to the forefront of various efforts to support family caregivers, including the annual Day of Renewal and multiple Memory Cafes. Eileen has credentials from both the Alzheimer’s Association and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
